We offer exclusive sailing tours on board our luxurious, fully equipped 45' ocean yacht “Optimist of London”.  We are based in Marina del Este, La Herradura and we sail every day along this beautiful stretch coastline known as the Costa Tropical.

This coast between Nerja in the west and Salobrena in the east is the most beautiful in southern Spain and is blessed with over 320 days of sunshine a year giving us the warmest climate in Europe. Come and explore the many secluded bays and fine sandy beaches, the breathtaking scenery, the spectacular mountains of the Sierra Nevada with their snow-capped peaks. We drop anchor for lunch / dinner and all guests have an opportunity to swim or snorkel with us in the warm, crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean, take a ride in the yacht’s rib, paddle the kayak or enjoy taking a spin in the high speed donut.

We offer a choice of skippered day charters:

• Full day (6 hours)
• Half day (3 hours)
• Romantic evening sunset cruise (3 hours)
• Longer trips to Morocco, Gibraltar, Balearic Islands.

... and all trips include champagne at the time of boarding and a buffet lunch / dinner with wine, beer and soft drinks.

Previous sailing experience is not necessary, because all guests are taken care of by the Captain and crew. You are encouraged to join the Captain at the helm, or if you prefer, just sit back, relax and enjoy the beauty of the coastal scenery.

”Optimist of London”  is an American-designed Morgan 45 – a fin-keel cutter rigged Bermudian sloop and is easy and comfortable to sail. All lines lead aft to her large, safe centre-cockpit, which houses the range of electronic navigational equipment, including a colour chartplotter and autohelm. She has roller furling headsails, in-mast mainsail reefing, a cruising chute, an electric winch, radar, electric windlass and full safety equipment. An overhead bimini gives welcome shade from the hot afternoon sun, whilst the deck boasts a large sunbathing area to top up the tan. When we are at anchor, you can cool down with a swim from the aft bathing platform or take a refreshing deck shower. The yacht’s inflatable dinghy with outboard is at your disposal to explore the coves or for trips ashore to the beautiful beaches along the coast.

Guests of all ages are welcome. We are fully insured and licensed to carry up to 10 people on board. In particular, we cater for special occasions ... anniversaries, birthdays, family groups and our popular hen and stag parties.

All cruises include welcome champange on arival, biffet lunch / diner with refershments at sea and use of all equipments onboard, including kayak, dinghy and outboard motor with donut.
